Online applications are invited from intended and eligible candidates for admission in different trade courses, affiliated to the NCVT under Craftsman Training Scheme (CTS), running in different Govt. ITIs/ ITCs/ Govt. ITIs running under PTP/ Govt. Jr. Polytechnics (JP) in West Bengal, as per the list given in www.wbscvt.org, for the session commencing from August 2023.
Candidates passed the requisite entry qualification from any school located within the State of West Bengal, are eligible for admission to Govt. ITIs / ITCs/JP and Govt. ITIs running under PTP. The candidates appearing Madhyamik or equivalent examination this year from any recognized Board can also fill up online applications within seven (07) working days from the date of publication of results.
Trade courses are divided under two group’s viz. E Group & M Group.
• Minimum entry qualification for M Group trades: Passed Madhyamik or equivalent examination from a recognized board.
• For E Group trades: Class Eight passed from a recognized school
Applicant is eligible for applying in any one Group of trades (either M Group or E Group).
Age limit: Applicant should attain at least 14 years of age as on 01.08.2022, i.e, born before 01.08.2006. There is no upper-age limit.
Institute/ trade would be allotted through e-counseling based on the rank in the merit list and choice of the applicant. Institute/ trade choice would be collected on-line, from the applicants, in due course.
In Government ITIs operated under PTP mode, Some Management quota seats will not be filled up from this Govt. online admission process. Operators of the Concerned ITI are entrusted to admit trainees to the management quota seats to the Govt. ITI running under PTP. Through this process Govt ITI Purulia-1 running under PTP also admit trainees under IMC quota.
